Julia Pimsleur is the founder and CEO of Million Dollar Women, as well as the author of Million Dollar Women: The Essential Guide for Female Entrepreneurs Who Want to Go Big and Go Big Now: the Eight Essential Mindset Practices to Overcome Any Obstacle and Reach Your Goals. She speaks and blogs regularly about entrepreneurship, fundraising, and how more women can “go big.” Her recent TEDx is: “Ditch Grit and Go Big.”

Pimsleur’s passion for working with women entrepreneurs grew out of her own experience as the founder and CEO of Little Pim, language teaching for young children, one of the few women-led venture capital backed companies in the U.S. She has raised over $26M in Angel, Venture and philanthropic dollars.

As the daughter of language teaching pioneer Dr. Paul Pimsleur, she always had a love of teaching and combining creativity with business. In her first career, she was an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Pimsleur is a trained NLP Master Practitioner Coach, associate professor at Parsons/The New School and mother of two. When Pimsleur is not speaking or coaching, she can be found kicking a soccer ball in Central Park with her two amazing boys. She lives in Manhattan, speaks French and Italian and is an avid scuba diver.
